"TRANSFORMING PUBLIC HEALTH FUTURE TOWARDS GLOBAL GOALS"

The Global Goals, also known as Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) represents the concerted effort of the world community at improving human lives while ensuring its sustainability. It is an ambitious agenda which aims to address underlying structural problems and gives focus to various social determinants of health. This holistic approach, which shall span over a period of 15 years (2016-2030), is in fact an agenda for public health - creating an environment in which people can be healthy.

This year's theme recognizes the multifaceted roles of public health. It aims to highlight the need for public health to transform itself and align with the Global Goals agenda.
