This workshop will introduce Geographical Information System (GIS) as a tool in policy making and development planning. GIS is both a discipline and technology which involves the acquisition, analysis and presentation of spatial data. It has the ability to analyse spatial and non-spatial information, especially for mapping, planning and monitoring development. Participants will learn how to use GIS in development planning and other related fields.
