"Bridging Silos: Towards a Holistic Management of NCDs"

The UNIMAS Public Health Seminar, in its 5th year, has been recognised and adopted by the Department of Community Medicine and Public Health (CMPH) as an annual event for the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FMHS), UNIMAS.


The seminar has also gained popularity over the years and received participation from healthcare workers of different fields all over the country. This year, the seminar focuses on non-communicable diseases (NCDs) in line with the United Nation 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. In conjunction with the Public Health Seminar 2019, the Department of CMPH will also be organising two concurrent post-seminar workshop on selected topics.

"Bridging Silos: Towards a Holistic Management of NCDs"

 

The UNIMAS Public Health Seminar 2019 will be an informative seminar to all, which focuses on the non-communicable diseases (NCDs) along with their common risk factors and determinants. With the theme of the seminar "Bridging Silos: Towards A Holistic Management of NCDs", we aim to provide update on knowledge among healthcare professionals and front liners of public health regarding multisectoral approach in handling issue in NCDs, as well as strengthening collaboration and networking among various agencies and organisations.
