Presenters are required to present their papers live using an online WEBEX presentation during the conference day (23-24 February 2022). If you have never used WEBEX, instructions on creating an account and basic features can be found HERE.
Presenting Remotely: THE LIVE PRESENTATION GUIDELINES
- Each talk will be comprised of a presentation and subsequent, dedicated Q&A.
- ENCON 2022 Management staff will manage the order of the presentations and will initiate the playback of any presentations not given live.
- Each session will be presented in its own unique virtual conference room.
- At least one day prior to the scheduled session all presenters will receive an email from the virtual conference room that contains the connection information. The WEBEX link will be unique to each presenter for each session and cannot be shared. Alternatively, presenters can directly access to their respective room by clicking on the link in HERE at ENCON2022 Website.
- Each oral presentation is allocated 20 minutes. One should spend about 15 minutes presenting the problem, the background, and the significant outputs from the project. The remaining 5 minutes will be reserved for questions and discussion with the attendees.
- A live questions and discussion session is compulsory for all presenters. Presenter with low internet bandwidth should make himself available on-line for this 5 minutes session.
- Use appropriate font size to make your slide readable without effort; typically, 20 point fonts should be used.
- The presenters should introduce themselves to the session chairs before the beginning of the session to allow a smooth running of the session.
- Each session will be moderated by a session chair.
- For the Q&A session, one of the authors will need to be available online after their presentations to answer questions from the participants.
- Please fill out the presenter details via this link ENCON PRESENTER The information provided will be used by the session chair to introduce you during the session.
- Please plan to join the meeting 15 minutes early in case there are any issues that need to be worked out.
A pre-recorded video presentation is allowed to presenters with low internet bandwidth only as a backup should technical difficulties occur during the presentation day. In order for your paper to be published, you are required to present (either in a live presentation or submitting prerecorded content).
RECORDED VIDEO PRESENTATION GUIDELINES*

Travel Info
Malaysia is easily accessible from most parts of the world by air, land and sea links. There are more than 40 international airlines fly into the country while the national carrier, Malaysia Airlines, has a global network that spans six continents and a national network that covers more than 36 local destinations.
There are six international airports in Malaysia with the main gateway being the KL International Airport (KLIA) at Sepang. It is located approximately 50km south of Kuala Lumpur. The rest of the country including Sabah, Sarawak and the Federal Territory of Labuan in East Malaysia is well serviced by 14 domestic airports and airstrips for the rural areas.
The main entry point by sea to KL is Port Klang, about 50km away from KL. Malaysia is also accessible by rail and road from Singapore and Thailand.
Getting to Sarawak
Kuching International Airport is Sarawak's main gateway. There are near-hourly connections to Kuala Lumpur on Malaysia Airlines, AirAsia, Malindo Air as well as flights to Johor Bahru, Kota Kinabalu and points elsewhere in Sarawak on Fly Asian Xpress (FAX). International connections are rather limited, although there are a few weekly services to Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Jakarta, and Singapore.
The airport underwent a major facelift in 2005-2006 and is now modern and pleasant. Kuching city is about 20 minutes away by taxi, a fixed RM17.50 from the taxi coupon stand just outside arrivals. There are also rather intermittent (once every hour or so) buses to the city center for RM1.
When checking in, note that all flights outside Sarawak are considered "international", even if you're only going elsewhere in Malaysia. There is a basic restaurant on the ground floor before security. The newly opened KFC is located at the left of the terminal on the departure level.
