ABOUT ENCON

The 16th International UNIMAS Engineering Conference (EnCon 2026) is a biennial flagship event hosted by the Faculty of Engineering, Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS). Scheduled to take place on 28–30 April 2026 in Kuching, Sarawak, this international conference continues a legacy of scholarly exchange that began in 2007.
EnCon serves as a dynamic platform for researchers, academics, engineers, and postgraduate students to present cutting-edge findings and innovative solutions in engineering and technology. It also fosters meaningful dialogue between academia and industry, encouraging collaborative approaches to address contemporary challenges.
Guided by the theme Empowering Industry and Society through Engineering Innovations, EnCon 2026 aims to advance knowledge, strengthen professional networks, and inspire transformative impact across sectors.
 

OBJECTIVES:

  • To provide a platform for researchers and academics as well as postgraduate students to present their latest research findings primarily related to problem solving in engineering, technology and management.
  • To provide a platform for engineers and professionals from the construction industry to share their experience and knowledge in engineering, technology and management.
  • To develop and empower engineering industry and society through knowledge in engineering, technology and management.
  • To create collaborative networking opportunities between academic and industry participants (private and public) as well as participants from diverse backgrounds in engineering and technology.
  • To share ideas and knowledge to meet the latest challenges in industry and society through innovative solutions in engineering, technology and management.
