Publication Opportunity for NaSTeC 2025

• Optional Publication: Participation in publication is optional for NaSTeC 2025 presenters.
• Journal: Selected papers will be published in the Borneo Journal of Resource Science and Technology (BJRST) — a Scopus-indexed journal.
• Full Paper (Manuscript) Submission and Deadline:
  • Full papers must be submitted via email to either:
    • Hafsah Nahrawi: nhafsah@unimas.my
    • Farah Akmal Idrus: aifarah@unimas.my
  • Deadline: 29 August 2025
• Screening Process:
  • Initial screening will be conducted by the NaSTeC Scientific Committee.
  • Top 10 papers will be selected for publication sponsorship.
• Revision Stage:
  • Selected papers will be returned to authors for revision based on the committee’s feedback.
  • Authors must submit the revised manuscript directly to BJRST for peer review after corrections based on the Scientific Committee’s feedback are completed.
• Publication Fees:
  • If accepted by BJRST after their peer review process, NaSTeC will cover the publication fee only for the top 10 papers selected by the NaSTeC Scientific Committee.
  • The results for the selected 10 papers will be announced later during the conference.
• Final Submission to BJRST:
  • All selected papers must be submitted to BJRST by 12 September 2025.
• Other Submissions:
  • Papers not selected among the top 10 may still be submitted to BJRST.
  • Discounted publication fee:
    • RM350 for local presenters (normal rate: RM450).
  • Acknowledgement Requirement:
    • All submitted papers must include a statement in the Acknowledgements section indicating that the paper was submitted through NaSTeC.
    • Failure to include this statement will result in the paper being treated as a normal submission (not eligible for discount or sponsorship).
